In 2008 in the lower mainland valley there had unfortunately been a number of deaths of our homeless who had been overcome by virtue of no shelter .... a couple of our local homeless had helped unload a truck of Xmas trees for a little bit of money - at the end there was a little tree left over that needed a home - so the guys rescued her and put her up under a spot they had sought refuge many time themselves and decided to decorate her ... in no time at all ... along came city hall - who advised she had to come down .... well did that ever bring on a big frown - from our local citizens and she was allowed to stay in the very least till xmas day - what happened no one had expected - Port Coquitlam's finest began dropping off ornaments, gifts, donations and good will - in no time at all the word spread and she brought on love from all around - the homeless crew that erected her and protected her took the gifts, clothing food and toys passed the gifts and alike to those in need .... as if they were not .... Bless them all .......... thank you Port Coquitlam
